When using a web browser, one of the standard
functions available is a storage of sites visited when using the Internet.
The instructions below explain how this history can be cleared from
most main stream browsers, so that others cannot see what sites you
have visited.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
To remove history from the standard Microsoft
Internet Explorer follow these steps :-
Step 1
At the top of the explorer window you have
a menu bar with the following headings
File Edit View Favourites Tools Help
Click your mouse in the menu that is labelled
Tools.
There are an number of options available on
this menu, The one you want to choose is the Internet Options one
at the bottom of the list.
Step 2
Once this option has been selected the following
window will pop up.

In the bottom window pane you will see the
History section. Within that pain there is a button saying Clear History.
If you click on this button, the history held on the computer will
be cleared.
Once the button is clicked, the following dialogue
box will appear for you to confirm you wish to delete the history
from the browser.
Click on the Yes button, and the history will
be cleared from your browser. When you return to the main Internet
Options screen, click OK, and you will return the main Internet browser.
You have now completed the history deletion
process.
